In Germany are there Universities courses in English?

How do I apply for a student visa?

Before applying for a student visa, 

  • First, you must have a letter from one of the universities of Germany to prove you have already been selected by them. You must also have a certificate of proven German language proficiency – A1, A2, and B1 levels. 
  • You must have all the necessary documents including a valid passport 
  • After you have all the necessary documents, visit the German Embassy and set up a visa appointment. 
  • Now you will be invited for an interview on a given date
  • Whether you get the visa or not will also be dependent on your visa interview so, prepare wisely.
     

Can I study in Germany for free?

Since 2014, most of the German public universities and schools provide tuition-free education to national and international undergraduate students. Students just have to pay around €250 (315 USD) per semester that includes transportation and administration fees. However, some states and private universities in Germany will charge you tuition fees according to their state policy. For example:

  • In Baden-Württemberg, non-EU international students should pay up to €3000 each year. For students gaining a 2nd degree in Baden-Württemberg, the fee is 1300 euros per year.
  • Students applying directly for master’s degrees from Nepal should pay €10,000 (USD 12,644) every semester.
